A: “We train landscape workers on 25 different pieces of equipment, in both English and Spanish. Our system has 3 main components: 2 online, a video and an exam; and a practical training checklist. The employee watches the video, takes the exam, then has to demonstrate that they know how to properly operate the equipment.”
A: “Development started in the fall of 2006; and the product was launched January 2008”
A: “We have 300 clients; 8000 landscapers who use LS Training System. Cities and Towns, Golf Courses, and Property Management Companies, and Landscape Contractors all over North America”
A: “We currently have 20 English, and 13 Spanish; with 5 more being produced this summer.”
A: “Each video takes about 30 minutes to watch the video and do the exam; each training checklist takes about 15 minutes with a supervisor. Skid Steer and Engines and Fuel are 2 of the modules that take longer; about 45 minutes for E&F; 1 hour for Skid Steer.
A: “This is considered basic training. The same as sending them home to “read” a manual, only better. The intention is for the employee to watch the video, and do the exam at home; and the checklists in a group or individually before operating any equipment. Many of our clients do not pay for training; some wait a 90 day period before they pay, others pay the average of a half an hour per video.”
A: “This is sold as a subscription. You pay a fee to access the system per employee, for a 1 year period. Over 5 employees we start discounting the price. For 1-5 employees, the cost is $99/employee to access all of the the training modules, for 1 year.”
A: “You can pay monthly, by credit card; quarterly or if you prefer all up front. If you pay all up front, you get one month free.”
A: “Any of the governing bodies are not in the business of approving training as it leaves them legally vulnerable. They require that an employer provide a safe work environment; and train the employee as to meet their requirements of “Due Diligence”. Many of our clients have passed “spot” audits using our training system.
A: “Due Diligence is a complicated term. OSHA’s general duty clause states that we must remove hazards from the workplace. We think LS Training System does this.”
A: “It may not be. With that said, we do think that the best training systems will teach the employee how to use the equipment and be made of all the hazards, personal, by-stander and property. Plus, proof of your training.”
A: “Would you pass an audit now, with your current training, and your current employee records? And yes many of our clients have successfully passed an audit.”
A: “We have a good renewal system that easy for you and the employee to do each year. This is good for the employee, and good for meeting the requirements of due diligence.”
A: “It is not an exact science, as it is hard to measure every penny. We think it pays 10:1 in the first year alone, plus the truism of, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure; and ultimately peace of mind.”
A: “We have a 60 day, money back guarantee. If the training doesn’t live up to your expectations, we refund 100% of your money.”
A: “The sign up process takes about 10 minutes; and another 15 to walk you through administering the system. Simply call us at 877-482-2323.”
